Valdas Adamkus, the president of the Republic of Lithuania, the chairman of the State Commission on the Millennium Commemoration of the Name of Lithuania invites all states, counties and municipal institutions, local authorities and social organizations that have not been included in the program of Lithuania’s millennium, to prepare and execute own commemoration programs of Lithuania’s millennium as well as actively take part in the projects, prepared by the counties and local authorities that Lithuania’s millennium became the citizenship expression of the whole nation as well as of the state patriotism.
Lithuania’s millennium program is open to all proposed ideas concerning the commemoration of Lithuania’s millennium by all Lithuanian citizens, social and state institutions, religious communities and associations as well as international associations. One of the program principles is the statehood: it is implemented not only for separate projects providing with budgetary subsidies, but under general efforts and resources of different states and social institutions.
