“The Millennium Odyssey” yacht „Ambersail“ LTU 1000

A yacht, having started in Klaipėda, within more than 200 days of sailing shall make over 37 000 nautical miles. Having gone around the Earth, “The Millennium Odyssey” yachtsmen shall return to the home cost on the 6th of July, 2009. They shall return having completed their own mission - having invited Lithuanians from all over the world to gather for the festival.

11 yachtsmen crews shall sail around the world facing challenges - sea and nature elements. The crews shall change each other in different world points. In total there shall be about 120 Lithuanian yachtsmen taking part. During the course of a nine-month journey “The Millennium Odyssey” yacht shall visit 24 Lithuanian world communities in 19 countries in 5 continents.

In all over the world the yacht shall be welcomed. In such meetings Lithuanian communities shall be introduced with current Lithuania, its achievements and gains. Lithuanian and world Lithuanian communities shall be encouraged to express their pride with their country by creating an Ode for Lithuania.
